The Trussell Trust annually publishes statistics on trends in usage of their foodbanks: Trussell Trust Stats

This briefing paper from Sheffeld University looks at the rise of food banks from a right to food persective:

‘Below the Breadline’ reported the rise of food poverty in the UK. Published in June 2014 by Church Action on Poverty, the Trussell Trust and Oxfam.


‘Emergency Use Only’ published in November 2014, was a joint research project by Oxfam, Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG), the Trussell Trust and the Church of England which looked at understanding food bank use in the UK and how it might be reduced.


The Fabian Society is conducting an independent Commission into food and poverty in the UK which will report in summer 2015: Fabian Commission on Food & Poverty
